Injury hazards from other causes

•Do not allow the power cable to

hang over the edge of the table top

or work surface. You could become

caught on it or children could pull

the appliance down with it.

Caution – property damage

•Place  the  appliance  on  a  sturdy,

level surface. When doing so, make

sure  the  appliance  is  not  located

near sources of heat e.g. hot plates,

heating pipes etc. The power cable

must lie securely in the cable recess

of the base, so that the based stands

securely.

•Position the appliance so that hot

water  vapour  will  be  ventilated

away  from  other  objects.  Do  not

position the kettle beneath a hanging

cabinet or shelf and turn the spout

away  from  sensitive  surfaces  or

wallpaper. Also maintain a distance

to easily flammable materials, e.g.

curtain or table cloth.

•There are feet on the underside of

the base. As the furniture/floor surfaces

are made of diverse materials and

are treated with diverse care products,

it cannot be entirely ruled out that

some  of  these  materials  contain

components,  which  could  attack

and  soften  the  appliance  feet.  If

necessary, place a non-slip underlay

under the base.

•Do not clean the kettle with hard,

scratching  or  abrasive  detergents,

steel wool, or similar.

Scope of delivery

•Kettle with base.

•Operating  instructions with guarantee.

Unpacking and setup

1.Remove the kettle from the packaging

and carefully remove all packaging

material.

2.Check the kettle and base for

possible transport damage.

3.Unwind the power cable from the

cable winder. This is on the underside

of the base.

4.Lead the cable through one of the

cable recesses.

5.Place the base on an even and stable

surface.  This  surface  should  be

easy to clean, brightly lit and easily

accessible.

6.Place the kettle on the base.

7.Insert the power plug into a socket

with protective contacts.

Initial use

1.Clean  the  kettle  by  filling  with

water up the MAX mark and boiling

it (see next section).

2.Pour the water away for hygiene

reasons.

3.Repeat the procedure 2x.
