Horizontal dropouts and
correct alignment of the wheel
The rear wheel can be adjusted using the
headless screws (1) in order to achieve the
optimum distance between the tyre and
the frame. Make sure that both adjusting
screws are adjusted equally. Check the that
the wheel is seated centrally between the
chainstays. Finally, affix the wheel, by using
the quick release skewers according to the
manufacturer's instruction manual.
Danger of personal injury
and property damage!
Before every ride check that the wheel
and the quick release skewer is correctly
installed.
Always read the instruction manual of
the wheel manufacturer before you use
or replace a new wheel.

Before installation
Please inspect the clamping surface and
thread of the thru axle, the frame, and the
fork for dirt before installing the thru axle.
Dirt and contamination could affect the
safety of the axle system. We recommend
lightly greasing the axle threads.

and property damage!
Important information on handling and
using thru axles
Never use tools besides those recom-

the axle. Always work using a torque
wrench.
Never exceed the maximum torque
indicated by the manufacturer!
Always read the operating manual
from the suspension fork or wheelset
manu-facturer before starting to use a
fork / wheelset combination with thru
axles, or before adding thru axles.
Danger of property damage!
Check to ensure the thru axle is in the
correct position before every use.
Wheelsets and thru axle that are installed
incorrectly can lead to serious crashes
and accidents! Ask your CUBE dealer
how to safely use the type of thru axles
installed on your Bike.
