Protection
The measuring tool is equipped with an electronic filter for
bright sunlight and electromagnetic radiation. The filter
prefents, e.g., interference from the warning lights of construc-
tion machines. Effective operation of the filter is possible only
when sensor
2
is not obstructed and clean.
Marking
When the laser beam runs through the center of the reception
area
10
, its height can be marked at the centre mark
5
right and
left on the measuring tool.
When marking, take care to align the measuring tool exactly ver-
tical (for horizontal laser beam), or horizontal (for vertical laser
beam), as otherwise the marks are offset with respect to the
laser beam.
Attaching with the Holder
With the holder
15
, the measuring tool can be fastened both to
a laser measuring rod (accessory) as well as to other auxiliary
tools.
Slide the holder onto the retainer on the backside of the meas-
uring tool and allow it to engage.
Loosen the rotary knob
16
of the holder and mount the holder,
e.g., onto a measuring rod. Tighten the rotary knob a quarter
turn. Then tighten locking screw
17
.
Note:
When the rotary knob
16
is loosened, the locking screw
17
of the holder cannot be tightened or released.
Attaching with the Magnet
When a positive-lock attachment is not absolutely required, the
measuring tool can be attached to steel parts via the the mag-
nets
1
.
Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
Keep the measuring tool clean at all times.
Wipe off debris using a moist and soft cloth. Do not use any
cleaning agents or solvents.
When heavily contaminated, the measuring tool can be cleaned
under running water. Do not immerse the measuring tool in
water and do not subject it to a high-pressure water jet.
Note:
Allow the measuring tool to dry completely before stor-
ing it in a closed casing. Otherwise, vapours can develop in the
closed case due to residual moisture, leading to corrosion of
the battery contacts. In this case, warranty claims shall be ren-
dered void.
If the measuring tool should fail despite the care taken in man-
ufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be carried out
by an authorised after-sales service centre for Bosch power
tools. Do not open the measuring tool yourself.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders, please always
include the 10-digit article number given on the type plate of the
measuring tool.
