To add a new Entry click the Measurement Entry item in
the Database Explorer to open the Measurement Entry
Wizard. The first dialog selects the Measurement Pattern.
This specifies the number of measurement channels and
if a tachometer will be used for this entry. The next page
will specify the parameters to be measured. The
parameter defaults entered in Parameter Set can be
chosen, or a new set can be created.

Expected RPM
Ideally, whenever a measurement is take a tachometer
will provide live readings as machine loads can vary and
cause the machine to run at slightly different speeds.
Analysis of the data is dependent on knowing the
machine speed at the time the data was collected.
However, in cases where the use of a dedicated
tachometer is not possible, the Expected RPM will be
used to convert the data display to Orders of running
speed.
