Chapter 9 Maintenance

9.2.1 Upper Glass Cleaning

First switch

OFF

the scanner, and then power it off (the main

power switch is on the back of the scanner).

Lift up the top cover.

The transparency lamp unit is hot. Wait a few minutes for it to cool off
before starting to clean the upper glass.

Place a cardboard on the glass plate to prevent damaging the glass during this
procedure.
