Guarantee
All statutory warranty rights are excluded. Instead, Credit Suisse provides a
guarantee for 12 months from receipt of the first Digipigi money box, i.e. if
your Digipigi money box is defective, it will be replaced during the guaran-
tee period in accordance with the following provisions:
The guarantee does not apply in the event of damage by
ȩ
Accident or unforeseen events (e.g. lightning, water, fire)
ȩ
Incorrect or otherwise improper use (see details below)
ȩ
Non-compliance with the safety and maintenance instructions
ȩ
Other improper processing or alteration
Batteries
This guarantee only covers batteries whose capacity when fully charged
falls to less than 80 percent of their estimated capacity, and batteries
that leak.
Incorrect and improper use
The guarantee does not cover defects in or damage to the Digipigi money
box caused by:
(a) improper handling or storage, incorrect or improper use, accidents,
or negligence leading to physical damage (cracks, scratches, etc.) to the
surface;
(b) contact with liquids, water, rain, excessive humidity (e.g. very damp room,
heavy sweating), sand, dirt or similar, or excessive heat or generally owing to
contact with foodstuffs;
(c) use of the Digipigi money box or the accessories for commercial purpos-
es, or improper/anomalous usage, or use under inappropriate
conditions; or
(d) other causes that are no fault of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and/or
its affiliates (hereinafter “Credit Suisse”) or Zühlke Engineering AG.
