I can’t hear any
USB audio
playback

Ensure that 500R8 is connected, powered up, and selected as the default
audio interface on your device’s Sound Application/Control Panel.
●
Switch the DAW select switch into the UP position and turn the Monitor
Blend control into the 12 o’clock position.
●
If you still can’t hear USB audio playback, you need to check the output
routing of the USB device from inside the control panel of your device.
Please follow the steps detailed in the “
Software Setup
” section of this manual.
My USB audio
playback is
playing through
modules 1&2
●
Ensure that the output routing of
500R8 is set correctly from within the
Sound/Control Panel of your device.
●
Ensure that the audio playback is
configured to play out of USB output
9/10 on your device.
●
Ensure that the master section of
500R8 looks like the following diagram
with DAW select switches in the UP
position and Blend controls set to
50/50.

I can’t patch to
500 series
modules 1-2 on
Logic Pro X.
●
This is a known bug in Logic Pro X that means that USB Output 1-2 cannot be
patched to once the Stereo Output has been reassigned from within the I/O
assignments page on Logic Pro X.

The Monitor
Control keymat is
causing audible
clicks through the
speakers when
changing
function.

The volume of your studio monitors is too high and reducing the dynamic
range available from 500R8’s Monitor Level control.

My DAW on
macOS will not
allow me to select
a sample rate
higher than
48kHz.

In order to achieve a higher sample rate in your DAW using macOS, the
desired sample rate needs to be selected from within the Audio MIDI Setup
application on macOS.
