If a fault occurs in a unit not currently selected, the Panel will
automatically switch to the faulted unit and display it’s fault status.
You can select other units as described above, but the alarm will sound
as long as any unit has a fault. Press the
function
key to display the
number of the faulted unit. Pressing the
function
key again will display
the Function menu, pressing the
meter
key will display the Main menu.
Operation from this point on is the same as that described for the
particular unit type in the single drop mode.
If another fault occurs in a unit other than the first faulted one, the
Panel will not switch to the second faulted unit until the first unit has
it’s fault reset. The Remote Panel will always switch if there is a
communication fault.
The Remote Panel can also monitor and control the optional internal
1:1 switch controller in an amplifier if so equipped. The desired unit
can be selected using the
function
and
up/down
keys as described
above. The switch position can be monitored by using the
function
key
to scroll through the Function menu until the switch position (A or B)
is shown on the display. The switch mode (AUTO or MANUAL) can
also be displayed by scrolling with the
function
key.
The switch mode of the selected unit can be changed using the
Auto/Man
key to toggle between the two modes. If the manual mode is
selected, the switch position can be changed between A and B by using
the
Switch
key.
Amplifier Address Assignment
The Remote Panel has a built-in utility to easily change the address of
the units to be connected together in the multi-drop mode. In order to
assign an address, only one unit can be operational at a time, the others
must be powered off. After the first unit is powered up, press the
function
key and then use the
up/down
keys to change the address that
is shown on the right hand side of the display, then press
enter
to send
the address change to the unit. The new address will only take effect
after power cycling the unit.
Power down the first unit, and repeat the above process for the
remaining units.
