Number of Inputs:
The number of inputs must be set. The user will either have one or two
inputs to control the Nexus Hand. This will depend on various factors such
as the user’s ability to produce signals of varying degrees of magnitude.
Input Layout:
If one input is selected the user will have the option to select which of
the input channels to use.
If two inputs are to be used, then channel A is for opening the Nexus
Hand while channel B is used for closing. This is the default setting. The
settings can be switched to control the Nexus Hand the opposite way.
Once the interface options have been set, you can proceed to the next
step, swipe left to mode selection.
Force Sensitive Resistors:
These are resistive devices that vary their electrical resistance with the
pressure applied.
Linear Transducer:
A transducer is an electronic device that converts energy from one form
to another. In the context of prosthetics, this means the displacement of
a pull-cable.
The user must select which transducer is to be used to control their
Nexus Hand.
