An accessory used to collect and
send patient information to the
monitoring system. One end of
the sensor attaches to the patient’s
finger, toe, ear lobe, or forehead
and the other end of the sensor
connects to the monitoring system.
The sensor collects measurements
by sensing the patient’s pulse rate
and percentage of oxygen in the
blood and sending this information
to the monitoring system.
