2.1 Unpacking the System

Follow the included instructions for removing the ML230 instrument and accessories from their shipping materials.

2.2 Assembly

The following items should be found in the package of the Covaris ML230 instrument:

 

•  ML230 main unit 

 

•  Accessory Box

 

      -  Bubble Level Tool

 

      -  Wrench for removing the caps/vents from the water bottles

 

      -  Sample Tray Assembly

 

      -  2 Plastic water bottles

 

      -  1 ML230 power cord

 

      -  Sample Racks and Consumables, depending on order configuration

CAUTION:

 The ML230 weighs about 80 pounds (36 kg).  With the front of the instrument closest to your body, lift the 

ML230 by gripping from its base plate.  Lifting the unit by its plastic case or doors will damage the instrument.
