5.12 - Electrical connections
WARNING! The unit’s electrical safety is
achieved only when it is correctly connected to
an earthing system, as foreseen by current safety
regulations.
This basic safety requirement must be checked. In the
event of any doubt, ask for a full check of the electrical
system to be done by a professionally qualified engineer.
WARNING! Before any installation or
maintenance operation, disconnect the unit from the
electric power supply, using the relevant switch located
nearby.
The storage tank leaves the factory with the electrical
connections box (detail “A” in Figure 5-8) mounted in the
hot water heater support bracket. Figure 5-9 shows the
references to make the various connections to the terminals.
The connections must be done by the installer.

5.12.1 - Connecting power
supply cable
To connect the power supply cable proceed as follows
(refer to Figure 5-9):
WARNING! Disconnect the electric power
supply from the system, using the relevant switch.
1.- Use a triple-pole dual insulation cable, with a minimum
section of 1.5 mm
2
;
2.- Remove the lid from the junction box (detail “A” in Figure
5-8);
3.- Lay the power supply cable through cable gland “C”;
4.- Remove the sheathing from the cable, taking care to
keep the earth wire (yellow/green) 20 mm longer than the
other two;
5.- Connect the yellow-green cable to terminal “3” PE;
6.- Connect the brown cable (Live) to terminal “1” L1;
7.- Connect the blue cable (Neutral) to terminal “2” N.
5.12.2 - Hot water heater
connection
To connect the hot water heater proceed as follows (refer to
Figure 5-9):
WARNING! Disconnect the electric power
supply from the system, using the relevant switch.
1.- Use a triple-pole dual insulation cable, with a minimum
section of 1.5 mm
2
;
2.- Remove the lid from the junction box (detail “A” in Figure
5-8);
3.- Lay the power supply cable through cable gland “D”;
4.- Remove the sheathing from the cable, taking care to
keep the earth wire (yellow/green) 20 mm longer than the
other two;
5.- Connect the yellow-green cable to terminal “6” (earth
symbol);
6.- Connect the brown cable (Live) to terminal “4” L;
7.- Connect the blue cable (Neutral) to terminal “5” N;
8.- For the connection of the other end of the cable to the
hot water heater refer to the installation manual supplied
with the hot water heater.
9.- Set the following parameters of the water heater:
a.-
2035 = 1
and
2038 = 10
;
b.-
2117 = 3
;
c.-
2140
and
2141
at the value of 0,7 (7 l/min) for Aguadens
16-22 and 1,5 (15 l/min) for Aguadens 37. In this way, if the
water flow rate between the water heater and the storage
tank is lower than these values, the water heater generates
a “low water flow” error.
5.12.3 - Connection of any
eventual solar assembly
To connect the solar assembly (if present) proceed as
follows (refer to Figure 5-9):
WARNING! Disconnect the electric power
supply from the system, using the relevant switch.
1.- Use a triple-pole dual insulation cable, with a minimum
section of 1.5 mm
2
;
2.- Remove the lid from the junction box (detail “A” in Figure
5-8);
