Ductless (Recirculating) Installation Through the Soffit/Cabinet
The range hood can be vented inside through the top of the cabinet.
Measure and mark a round duct opening in the cabinet ceiling or in the
soffit above the duct opening of the range hood. Use a saber saw or
keyhole saw to cut a round opening for the soffit/cabinet vent.
For ductless (recirculating) installations, charcoal filters are necessary. See
the "Range Hood Care" section for instructions on installing charcoal filters.
5.
Install the duct system according to the method needed. Use caulking to
seal any exterior wall or roof opening.
6.
Install the round damper into the duct opening of the range hood. For
ductless (recirculating) installations, damper installation is not required.
