Winding
To route from cone to cone, see fig.9, thread the yarn in the ring 9 fig.9 and then cross
the comb yarn brake 10 fig.9. If feeders 11 fig.9 are used, first thread the yarn in the yarn
guide 14 fig.9 and then in the yarn brake 12 fig.9 and then thread around the feeders as
many times as necessary as shown in fig.9. At their outlet, thread into the yarn guide 15
fig.9 and in the yarn brake 7 fig.9 and in the yarn guide 16 fig.9 and then coil the yarn in
the tube.
The yarn guide 6 fig.9 will automatically capture the yarn at the beginning.
The yarn will always automatically enter the sensor 23 fig.9 located between the two yarn
brakes 7 fig.9.
Each time the head stops, the brake is activated, which stops the feed roller in a short
period of time.
This is useful especially in the case of slippery yarn that is spooled on truncated conical
tubes. Without it the inertia of the stopping feed roller would be enough to cause the
yarn to slip toward the tailstock, where troublesome accumulations could occur.
Braking
To obtain soft cones, use the yarn brakes 7 fig.7, adding or removing the weights 9 fig.6.
Especially when winding synthetic yarn, it is useful to dampen the yarn vibrations im-
mediately following the yarn guide 9 fig.9 using the comb yarn brake 10 fig.9.
When it is necessary to use feeders 11 fig.9, have the yard pass through the yarn brake
12 fig.9.
This yarn brake increases in intensity the more the knob is pressed 13 fig.9.
Keep in mind that the higher the speed, the more dense the obtained cones will be.
