Your gas cylinder must be stored outdoors in a well ventilated area, and must
be disconnected from the gas barbecue when not in use. Check that there are
no sources of fire nearby before you disconnect the gas cylinder from the gas
barbecue.
When you use your gas barbecue again after a period when it has not been in
use, check for gas leaks and blockages in the burners before use.
Follow the cleaning instructions to ensure that the barbecue is safe.
If the gas barbecue is stored outdoors, check that all areas under the front panel
are free of blockages (insects or the like). This area must be kept clear, as it can
affect the combustion of the gas or the ventilation air.
8. Storage and maintenance
Warning:
If the burner still does not light up, turn the regulator button to "OFF"
and wait five minutes, so that the gas has dispersed before you try again.
Lighting up the main burner manually
If the automatic lighting mechanism cannot be used, remove the cooking grate
and the heat distributor (hotplate), and then turn the regulator button anti-clock-
wise to "HIGH”, so that you can use a barbecue lighter or match at a distance of
5 mm from the hole in the actual burner. Replace the cooking grate and the heat
distributor (hotplate) – and remember that the barbecue is hot, so wear fire-
resistant mitts.
Lighting up the side burner manually
To light the side burner manually, follow the instructions above and set the barbe
-
cue lighter or match to the side burner.
• ALWAYS ensure that gas cylinders are
disconnected from the gas barbecue after use.
• Store the gas barbecue in a dry place, and
wipe of any moisture after use, before covering
the barbecue.
• Clean stainless and lacquered parts with soapy
water, and wipe away any moisture thoroughly.
• To prevent possible rust, it is recommended
that you wipe the outer parts of the barbecue,
using Caramba Multispray, which hinders rust.
• Additionally, the barbecue should be kept under a Barbecue Cover,
which is available from your dealer, or alternatively, store the
barbecue indoors.
• Taking our northern climate into consideration, the barbecue must
be stored in warm, dry conditions outside the season.
