ASSEMBLY
Assembly Instructions
Unpack the heater and make sure it is
undamaged and all components are
present.
Turn the heater upside down and
assemble the two leg supports by
unscrewing and then refixing with the
screws in the base as shown (Fig. 1)
Your Convair heater is excellent in
providing spot heating throughout your
home. It should not be considered as a
centralized heating unit for your whole
house.
Your heater ’ s controls are shown below
(Fig. 2 & 3).

Safety Device
To avoid overheating problems the in-
built safety device will interrupt
electricity if the heating element
becomes too hot. The heater will then
return to stand-by mode.
If this should happen:
• Check that the heater is positioned
correctly, not close to any furnishings.
• See that there is no dust or other
obstacles blocking the front grille or vent
slots.
• Clean the front grille & vent slots if
necessary.
The heater is also equipped with a ‘ tip-
over ’ switch, which will turn off power to
the heater elements if it should fall over.
