Click the ‘save as’ icon to create a copy of a previously opened file. A file dialog will
appear allowing you to browse a selected directory and rename the file.

The file icons at the top of the tool screen will be different colors on different pages, and
will be absent on some pages. These icons only appear where a file save is applicable.
The different colors are meant to suggest different file types are used with different
pages. There are 2 file types: (i) Device and Object Map XML, (ii) Object Map CSV. The
XML file type will be saved from either the Device or Objects tabs while the CSV file type
will be saved from the Obj List page.

When opening or saving an XML file, the dialog illustrated above will appear allowing you
to select device properties, object maps, or both. If you wish to replicate only the object
mapping in another device without overwriting the other device properties, then you
would select only the object maps.

The original ValuPoint configuration tool saved two different XML files, one for device
properties and one for object maps. They have now been combined into one file. You
may read the older individual files into the new tool. Simply select device properties or
object maps when reading the old files.
