6  Resolving malfunctions

If you detect a CeBS malfunction, turn the CeBS off�

• 

Press the   button on the battery for 3 seconds.

• 

Contact your bicycle dealer who will test the malfunction using service software.

7  leaning and maintenance

This chapter contains information on how to correctly clean and maintain the CeBS.

Improper cleaning can lead to material damage.

Risk of damage!

 

●

Clean the Continental eBike System with a damp cloth.

 

●

Never clean the Continental eBike System with a high-pressure washer or a 
hard jet of water.

• 

Remove the battery from the battery bracket before cleaning the Continental eBike System.

• 

Clean the components of the Continental eBike System with a damp cloth.

• 

Use water or a mild detergent.

• 

Perform a visual inspection to check that electrical lines, connections and points of contact 
are free of damage and clean.

•  Have your bicycle retailer replace damaged parts.

• 

Prevent moisture or dirt from getting into the points of contact.

• 

Check to ensure that the contacts are dry before you insert the battery.

If you do not have the necessary expertise or tool, let a bicycle retailer repair
