Intended use
The step counter is used to measure the number of steps and the duration of the activity. Based
on this measurement, the calorie consumption and the distance covered are calculated. The
data for the last seven training days are saved. The product also features an integrated clock.
The product is suitable for use in recreational sports but not in professional and medical meas-
uring technology. The measured values resp. indications of the product are not suitable for
commercial purposes or for publicly disseminating information.
The manufacturer is not responsible for incorrect displays or measured values and any conse-
quences which may arise thereof.
Any use other than described above may damage the product, there may also be other dan-
gers.

by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be void in such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modi

cation to the prod-
uct is not permitted. Never dismantle the product.
• If the product is used outdoors, it must be protected from humidity.
• This product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Use the
product only out of the reach of children; the product contains parts and batteries
that can be swallowed.
• Condensation may form when the product is brought from a cold room into a warm
one. Therefore, wait until it has reached room temperature before using it.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, as it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be
turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not used unintention-
ally. After this, arrange for an expert to check the product. Safe operation is no
longer possible, if the product:
- has visible damages,
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored for a longer period under unfavourable ambient conditions or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.

Getting Started and Operation
Remove the insulating pad in the battery compartment. This pad protects the battery
from discharging during transport. To this end, please also observe the section “Bat-
tery replacement” further on in this manual.
Prior to carrying out the measurements, measure your average personal step
length. For this purpose, walk or run ten steps and measure the distance covered. If
you divide this measured distance by ten, you will get a relatively accurate value of
your personal step length.
a) Settings
• Press the MODE button (4) until the STEP display appears on the display.
• Press and hold the SET button (2) until SETUP appears on the display.
• Set the desired time format (12h or 24h format) using the keys RESET (3) or MODE (4).
• Press the SET key (2) to set the next value (here, seconds).
• Set the other values for the hours, minutes, month, date, year, measuring units, step length,
body weight and target steps per day as described above.
• The values can be increased using the RESET key (3), and decreased using the MODE key
(4).
• Press the SET key (2) to access the setting for the next value to be set and press this key at
the end of the setting process to save the set values and to return to normal mode.
If no keystrokes are performed for ten seconds, the step counter automatically
switches back to normal mode.
b) Attaching the product to clothes
To avoid faulty measurements, the step counter must not be exposed to
strong blows, magnetic
fi
elds, electro-magnetic
fi
elds or strong vibrations.
Do not hang the step counter around your neck and do not place it into the
back pockets of your trousers.
• Insert the product in the mounting clip provided.
• Fasten your step counter with the mounting clip preferably in the hip area on your clothing.
c) Operation
The display switches on automatically when motion is detected.
To avoid unintentional measurements, steps will be measured only after the device
has detected steps for a period of
fi
ve seconds. These
fi
rst steps are not displayed
initially, however they will be included in the measurement.
• In normal mode, the steps and the time are displayed (STEP display).
• At midnight, the values measured daily are reset so that the display always refers to a calen-
dar day.
• Press the MODE key (4) to access the different display modes one after another:
