9. Maintenance
Before cleaning the system (monitor), turn off all components connected to power, and disconnect them from the power source. If required, clean
the camera’s lens. Do not use any abrasives or solvents! The system works maintenance-free. Check the technical status of the device,
e.g. whether enclosures or insulations are damaged, and whether the camera enclosure is still leak tight etc.
10. Disposal
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and utilise natural resources prudently and
rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations. The crossed-out

8. Checking and troubleshooting
8.1. Checking
Connect the cables of the automobile battery.
1.
Switch the ignition ON, without starting the motor.
2.
Switch the monitor on. To do this, press the monitor‘s ON/OFF button.
3.
Activate the parking brake and engage the reverse gear.
4.
Wait until the monitor shows the view to the rear.
5.
If necessary, change the image orientation to get the proper view.
6.
8.2. Troubleshooting
When I engage the reverse gear, all
I see is snow.
That means there is no communication between
•
camera and monitor.
Check the connection of the camera at the
•
reversing light. Make sure that all cables are
securely attached.
Look up the information on the wiring of the
•
reversing lights in the operating instructions
of your vehicle. Make sure that the red wire of
the camera is connected to the positive cable
of the reversing light and the black wire of the
camera is connected to the ground cable of the
reversing light.
If you use Scotchlok® connectors, check
•
whether you have crimped the wires with a
gripper to make a secure connection.
What is the purpose of the blue
•
wire on the monitor cable?
The blue wire is an extra wire that can be connected
•
to another current source, preferably the cable of
the reversing light. It works as a trigger for switching
the monitor on when the vehicle is put into reverse
gear.
Why is the image on the screen
•
upside down?
The image orientation can be changed as desired
•
by pressing the Rotate button on the monitor long
enough.
Press the Rotate button until the desired image
•
orientation is found.
Why do I see so much
•
interference and rolling lines
when using the device?
Because it is a wireless device, other wireless
•
devices can interfere with the signal between
monitor and camera. Mobile phones and other
devices with wireless technology can interfere with
the system.
Turn off other wireless devices. Then the
•
interference will stop. To get a better signal, try
the following:
Move the monitor on the dashboard.
-
Move the antenna cable and put it in a place
-
with little interference.
When it is light outside, is it
•
normal that the screen needs
a while to show the actual
image?
Yes. The camera needs a while to normalise and
•
stabilise itself when it is light outside. But if the
monitor needs more than 15 seconds to normalise
itself and show the view to the rear, please contact
our technology team.
