Step 1: Charging the internal rechargeable battery
Prior to initial operation the integrated accumulator must be charged completely.
The charging is performed by connecting the mini recorder to an operating PC or laptop via USB.
The “status LED” (3) is lit in red during the charging process.
☞
The charging takes about 2 hours depending on the residual capacity of the
internal accumulators.
Step 2: Insertion of the mircro-SD-memory card
Slide the provided micro-SD-card into the “Micro-SD-card slot” (4). The surveillance camera sup-
ports micro-SD-memory cards up to max. 2GB (SDHC cards are not supported).
☞
The mini surveillance recorder will not function without the micro-SD-card
inserted.
☞
Do not remove the micro-SD-memory card from the mini surveillance
recorder during operation. Always turn off the mini surveillance recorder
before doing so (see step 4).
Step 3: Attachment of the mini surveillance recorder
The surveillance camera includes an attachment clip that is suitable for wearing the device in a
shirt pocket.
☞
Make sure that the “camera lens” (6) is not covered if you wear the mini sur-
veillance recorder in your shirt pocket.
Step 4: Switching the mini surveillance recorder on and off
• Set the “ON/OFF“ button (2) to theON position. Then the “status LED” (3) starts flashing blue
for 5 seconds.
• After 5 seconds the “status LED” (3) is lit in blue permanently, provided that a micro-SD-card
has been inserted correctly. If no micro-SD-card has been inserted correctly or if it has been
inserted incorrectly the “status LED” (3) will be lit in green permently.
Step 5: Start/stop recording
• After the mini surveillance recorder has been switched on as described in step 4 and the “sta-
tus LED” (3) is lit in blue, a recording can be started.
• Press the “Record/Pause” button (1) in order to start the recording. The “status LED” (3) is
flashing alternatingly in blue/green.
• ?Press the “Record/Pause” button (1) in order to stop the recording. The “status LED” (3) is lit
in blue permanently.
☞
The mini surveillance recorder saves the recodings in the file format .3GP.
.3GP-files can be played back with the VLC-Player (Video LAN Client) >
www.videolan.org
☞
Do not press the “ON/OFF” button (2) during recording. The recorded data
can be damaged and/or lost by doing so.
Step 6: Transferring the recordings to a PC or laptop
In order to transfer the recordings to a PC or laptop, proceed as follows:
• Ensure that the mini surveillance recorder is turned on.
• Connect the mini surveillance recorder including inserted micro-SD-card to a free USB port of
your PC or laptop. The “status LED” (3) is lit in blue. As long as the internal accumulator is
being charged the “status LED” (3) is lit in red at the same time.
• The mini surveillance recorder is recognised by your PC or laptop as a mass storage device.
☞
Of course the micro-SD-card can also be removed and read-out via the pro-
vided micro-SD-card apaptor and a card reader (not provided).
Low accumulator voltage behaviour
As soon as the accumulator voltage is too low the “status LED” (3) will flash red. The recordings
are saved before the mini surveillance recorder turns off automatically.
Recharge the internal accumulator as described in step 1.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Switch off the device before cleaning the outside of the housing of the access and time record-
ing system.
To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Clean the lens very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it.
There are no maintenance parts with this product.
Disposal

Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the
heavy metals involved are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to col-
lection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable
