Intended use
The product is used for illumination in dry, enclosed interiors, e.g. illumination of an of

work table.
Using a touch-sensitive area the LED desk lamp can be switched on/off or two different bright-
ness levels can be set.
Any use other than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give
rise to hazards such as short-circuiting,
fi
re, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be
modi
fi
ed or converted!
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!

information on its correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void.
a) In general
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modi
fi
cation of the product is not allowed for
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The LED desk light is not a toy and therefore is not to be trusted in the hands of
children. Children cannot assess the dangers arising from incorrect use of electri-
cal devices. Be especially careful if children are around!
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous play-
things for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer’s
liability insurance association for electrical systems and operating facilities are to
be observed!

b) Operation
• This product is only to be installed and used in dry, enclosed conditions indoors.
The product must not get damp or wet as there is danger of a fatal electric shock!
• Do not use the LED desk lamp in rooms, or under adverse environmental condi-
tions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is
a risk of explosion!
• Never place the product on an unstable or movable surface. Always set up the
LED desk lamp in a way it cannot tilt or fall. Tilting/falling can cause a
fi
re hazard,
people could be injured or the product could be damaged; furthermore, there is a
risk of
fi
re!
• The product gets very hot around the LED illuminant, risk of burns! Take the neces-
sary care in using the LED desk lamp!
• Do not place any objects on the LED desk lamp or hang any objects from it (e.g.
decorations). Fire hazard!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical loads.
• The product is only suitable for use in moderate but not tropical climates.
• Attention, LED light:
Do not look directly into the LED light!
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Only operate the desk lamp using the enclosed power adapter.
• If the power adapter is damaged, do not use the product any longer.
Switch off the mains socket to which the power adapter is connected (switch off
at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, then switch off the
earth leakage circuit breaker). Unplug the power adapter out of the mains socket.
Replace the faulty power adapter only with a power adapter identical in construc-
tion.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect
the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (
fl
ickering light, leaking smoke
or a smell of burning, the light
fl
ickers, audible cracking noises, discolouration to
the product or the adjacent surfaces.)
- the product was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• For safety reasons, pull the wall plug transformer out of the mains socket before
cleaning the product or when the product is not to be used for a while (e.g. during
storage).
