ing from the incorrect use of electrical devices. Furthermore, there is risk of burns
from the hot surfaces!
Keep the product out of the reach of children.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since this may
become a dangerous toy for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height. If oil is leaking from the oil-
fi
lled radiator, do not use
it any longer; dispose of it in an environmentally-friendly manner!
b) Installation location
• Only install and use the product in enclosed indoor spaces.
• Never place the product in the direct vicinity of a bath, shower, bathtub or similar!
There is a danger to life from electric shock!
• Choose an appropriate place. It must be solid, large enough, horizontal, stable and
a safe distance from in
fl
ammable materials and items.
• Never place the product on an unstable or movable surface. Always place the
product where it cannot tilt or fall over.
• If it is placed on a valuable surface (e.g. genuine wooden
fl
ooring), it may cause
scratches. Hence, use a suitable underlay, if applicable.
• Never use the product in vehicles or any similar mobile locations or rooms.
Ꮨ
• Completely unwind the mains cable during use. The power cable must not be
pinched or damaged by contact with sharp edges. Do not place any objects on the
cable, and do not allow it to become kinked. Install the cable where no one can
stumble over it and the plug is easily accessible. Do not lay the mains power cable
under carpets etc. Do not wind the power cable around the towel drier and never
place it over the towel drier.
• Do not operate the device in environments where there are high levels of dust,
fl
ammable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of
fi
re and explosion!
c) Handling and Use
• Never plug in or unplug the power cable with damp or wet hands. There is a risk of
a life-threatening electric shock!
• When it is used for the
fi
rst time, the hot parts of the frame may cause an irritating
odour for a while. If you experience this, ventilate the room where the towel drier
is located. Wait for the ventilation to have an effect, before using the towel drier to
dry/warm textiles.
• Always unplug the mains plug using the gripping surface intended for this purpose.
Never unplug the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling on the cable!
• Completely unwind the mains cable during use. If the cable is not unwound com-
pletely, it can cause overheating; danger of
fi
re!
• Do not use the product if it is damaged (e.g. housing, mains cable). A defective
mains cable may only be replaced by a specialist. There is a risk of a life-threaten-
ing electric shock!
• Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before cleaning the towel drier
or when the towel drier is not to be used for a while.
• Always keep a suf
fi
cient space to combustible or
fl
ammable materials or objects
(curtains, doors, furniture etc.). If the distance is too small, there is a risk of
fi
re.
Never use the towel drier in cabinets or other small closed spaces. Fire hazard!
• Never pour any liquids above or next to the product. It can cause
fi
re or perilous
electric shock danger. If liquids get into the device, immediately isolate the mains
socket (fuse/circuit breaker/earth leakage circuit breaker), then unplug the mains
plug from the mains socket and consult an expert. Do not use the product any-
more.
• Never operate the product in or under water. Danger of fatal electric shock!
• The towel drier becomes hot when in use, danger of burns!
• Only move, transport or store the product when it has cooled down completely.
Disconnect from the mains voltage, pull the plug out of the power socket.
• Only use the product in a temperate climate, never in a tropical climate.
• Do not connect the product to the mains power supply immediately after taking it
from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation that forms might destroy the
product or lead to an electric shock (wet mains plug). Allow the product to reach
room temperature. Wait until the condensation has evaporated. This might take
several hours. Only after this should it be plugged in to the mains supply and put
into use.
• Due to the many different types of textile materials, it cannot be guaranteed that
heating will not cause discolouration, material changes or other kinds of damage
to textiles warmed on the towel drier.
