b) Connecting transmitter and receiver
• Plug an RJ45 plug of a Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable into the HDBaseT socket of the transmitter and receiver.
c) Connecting IR transmitter/receiver
• Connect the infrared transmitter (IE) to the transmitter’s circular connector (IR Emitter). Position the
infrared transmitter (IE) in such a way that it is placed in front of or close to the IR receiver of your HDMI
source, such a Blu-Ray player or SAT receiver.
• Connect the infrared receiver (IR) to the receiver’s circular connector (IR Receiver). Position the infrared
receiver (IR) in such a way that it is within the transmitting range of the IR remote control used by you.
d) Connecting HDMI / Ethernet sources to the transmitter
• Connect an HDMI source (e.g. Blu-Ray player, SAT receiver) with an HDMI cable to the transmitter’s HDMI
socket (HDMI IN).
• Connect network devices with an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 ports (Ethernet ports). Two network devices
can be connected.
e) Connecting HDMI / Ethernet output devices to the receiver
• Connect an HDMI output device (e.g. TV set) with an HDMI cable to the receiver’s HDMI socket (HDMI
OUT).
• Connect network devices with an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 ports (Ethernet ports). Two network devices
can be connected.
f) Connecting power adaptors
• Connect one power adaptor each with the circular sockets (5 V/DC, 2A) to the transmitter and receiver.
Startup
• Connect all devices to the mains voltage. The Power LED lights up once you connect transmitter and
receiver to the mains voltage.
• The Active LED starts flashing once the transmitter and receiver have been started up.
• The Link LED lights up when the data connection between transmitter and receiver is active (this can
take a few seconds).
• The connected network devices are now connected via Ethernet.
• Start playback of the HDMI source (e.g. Blu-Ray player, SAT receiver) with the remote control of the HDMI
source, or directly on the device.
• The output is done via the HDMI output device (e.g. TV set). The HDCP LED lights up when a signal with
HDCP is being transmitted. The HDCP LED flashes when a signal without HDCP is being transmitted.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Before cleaning, disconnect the transmitter and receiver from the connected devices and unplug the power
adaptors from the mains outlets.
• There are no components located inside the product you need to maintain. Never open/dismantle the
product.
• Use a soft, anti-static and lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause
damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
