Mounting the sensors:

Infrared light acts the same as visible light: solid objects will block it, but it will also be
reflected. The sensor(s) should be mounted so that they are above the students’ heads or any
other obstacles.

Overall system setup:

In general, the IRR-40P receiver is installed near the front of the room in a convenient place
for the teacher to adjust if required.

Four wall- mounted speakers are installed and a cable is run from each of the speakers to one
of the 4 SPEAKER terminal pairs on the back of the receiver.

We advise fitting a single IRD-60 ceiling-mount external sensor installed in the center of the
ceiling. Its cable is connected to ‘Ext sensor input 1’ on the rear of the IRR-40P.

The teacher wears the SwiftTX transmitter and sets it to CHANNEL 1. The handheld
transmitter microphone, set to CHANNEL 2, is used as a pass around mic for students.

If a DVD player, CD player or MP3 player is used, the audio from this can be attached to either
LINE 1 or LINE 2 on the back of the IRR-40P.
