6.1 Software Considerations
The conga-SBM²C fully complies with the congatec Battery Management Interface
Specification. As a result of this, the conga-SBM²C is recognized automatically by all
congatec CPU modules supporting battery management. Running an ACPI operating
system will bring notebook functionality to the system without the need for additional
software installation.
CPU modules from other vendors may require a BIOS firmware update to be compatible
with the congatec Battery Management System.

system host (cBC) accesses the individual registers. An entry 'r' or 'r/w' means that the
implementation of the particular register is mandatory in order for the congatec battery
management solution to function properly. An empty entry means that the particular
