Updating the BIOS
BIOS updates are recommended to correct platform issues or enhance the feature set of the module. The conga-
TS370
features a congatec/
AMI AptioEFI firmware on an onboard flash ROM chip. You can update the firmware with the congatec System Utility. The utility has five
versions— UEFI shell, DOS based command line

, Win32 command line, Win32 GUI, and Linux version.

Caution
The DOS
command line tool is not officially supported by congatec and therefore not recommended for critical tasks such as firmware
updates. We recommend to use only the UEFI shell for critical updates.

Supported Flash Devices
The conga-TS370 supports Macronix MX25L25645G (32 MB). The flash device can be used on the carrier board to support external BIOS. For
more information about external BIOS support, refer to the Application Note “AN7_External_BIOS_Update.pdf” on the congatec website at
http://www.congatec.com.
