HTTP (Web Server) Interface
See Chapter 5. SERIAL INTERFACE OPERATION for more information about
the LRS and IPA commands.
A user-supplied web browser allows the full M&C of the LGaN through its HTTP Interface. This embedded
web application is designed for use with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or higher. It is a non-
secure web application.
4.4.1 Enable the HTTP Interface

Follow these steps to enable the HTTP Interface in the LGaN using only a 100BaseTx remote interface
(this assumes that you are running a Microsoft Windows operating system):
See Figure 4-4 and do these steps:
1. Select
Start
, then
Run
, then type “
cmd
” to open the Windows Command-line window.
2. Type “
Telnet 192.68.1.4
” to start a Telnet session with the unit using the default Management IP
address.

comtech

4. The Local Remote Status (LRS) remote command sets or returns Local or Remote state in the
form x, where x=0, 1, 2, or 3:
•
LRS=0 (Local)
•
LRS=1 (Serial)
•
LRS=2 (Ethernet)
•
LRS=3 (Ethernet) (default value)
Use the
LRS=2
remote command to set the remote access parameter for Ethernet remote control.
