COMPUTHERM
HT-3000
Gas Leak Detector
Operating Instructions
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The
COMPUTHERM
BX 169
gas leak detector is specially suitable for detecting the leakage of natural
gas and autogas (LPG). With its high-sensitivity and reliable catalytic sensor, it is suitable to detect gas leak
in home, industrial and other environments.
2. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DEVICE
•
easy to handle
•
automatic zero calibration
•
fast calibration and short response time
•
acoustic and light alarm
•
wide range of operating temperature
3. CONFIGURATION OF THE DEVICE
1
Sensor
2
Static wire
3
Red LED for high alarm level
4
Green LED for power
5
Static display yellow LED: If static electricity is detected
by the device, the static display LED will shine.
6
Power switch
7
Cover of the battery compartment
4. THE USE OF THE DEVICE
1.
Open the battery compartment and put 2 pieces of 1.5V
alkaline batteries (LR6 type; AA size)
in it.
Pay attention to the poles of the batteries: the negative pole of the batteries should always be at the side
of the spring.
2.
The device becomes ready for operation a couple of seconds after it is turned ON.
3.
To detect a leak, hold the device close to the potential leak.
4.
If gas is detected the red LED light of the device becomes illuminated and the device will emit a
continuous alarm sound. The alarm status will be terminated as soon as the device detects that the
concentration of gas falls below the detectable limit value.
5.
The green LED signifies that the area is without gas leak. If the green and red LEDs are not working
you should check the batteries.
6.
If static electricity is detected by the device, the static display yellow LED will shine. In this case, before
starting to search for the gas leak, cease the static state of the device by touching a grounded object
with the static wire of the device.
