Removal and Replacement

Removing the CD or DVD Drive

1.

Perform the preparation procedures.

2.

Remove the hood.

3.

Move the air baffle out of the way.

4.

Disconnect the power, signal, and audio cables.

5.

Remove the drive cage from the chassis. 

6.

Remove the two screws on the side of the drive cage, and 

slide the CD or DVD drive out of the front of the drive cage.

End of sequence. To replace the CD or DVD Drive, reverse this 

procedure.

Return to Removing Mass Storage

.

NOTE:

The DVD Drive is standard on the 4240 ES Model only.
