6. Position the memory module

in the memory socket on the system
board, making sure that the two gaps between the contacts are in
alignment with the two spaces in the socket.
7. Press down on both ends of the module simultaneously to seat it in the
socket. When the module is fully seated, the latches

automatically
lock it in position.

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each module that you want to install. You
MUST install DIMMs in pairs.
9. Slide the system board tray back in.
10. Reconnect the cables to the system board.
11. Reassemble the workstation.
IMPORTANT:
Before replacing the expansion board cage, read “Important
Guidelines for Expansion Board Cage Replacement” in Chapter 7.
12. Test the system (optional) using the Computer Checkup (TEST) utility.
