Hardware Upgrade Preparations

COMPAQ CONFIDENTIAL - NEED TO KNOW REQUIRED

2. Remove the four T-10 torx screws securing the front of the speaker to

the chassis.

3. Remove the T-10 torx screw from the rear of the speaker baffle.

4. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.

5. Lift the assembly from the chassis.

6. To replace the assembly, reverse steps 1-5.

CAUTION:

When handling the speaker, take care not to damage

the speaker baffle.

IMPORTANT:

When replacing the speaker, make sure the rear retaining

screw firmly clamps the speaker baffle to the chassis.
