8.1.

DLX connector

8.1.1.

Align the DLX-connectors as shown in Figure below. The protrusions on the drop cable connector should line up

with the arrow on the FST-R adapter. Insert the drop cable connector into the FST-R adapter until it slides freely into place

and latches. Thread the drop cable connector coupling nut into the optical port and tighten coupling nut until fi nger tight.

8.1.2.

Thread the optical port dust cap into the drop cable dust cap as shown below and then tighten both dust caps

fi nger tight. This ensures that both dust caps will stay clean when not in use.

8.2.

Full size hardened-connector

8.2.1.

Align the Full size hardened-connectors as shown in Figure below. The pointer on the drop cable connector should

line up with the notch on the FST-R adapter. Insert the drop cable connector into the optical port and tighten

coupling nut until fi nger tight.

8.2.2.

Thread the optical port dust cap into the drop cable dust cap as shown below and then tighten both dust caps

fi nger tight. This ensures that both dust caps will stay clean when not in use.
