Connecting logger to the computer by means of communication adapter
Notice:
USB connector can be located also from the computer front side
After connecting the logger to the computer reading of logger info is enabled by means of the
PC software and also setting of the instrument accordingly to the user needs (menu
Configuration /
Setting of instrument parameters
).
Before logging start it is necessary:
check or optionally set the logger real time clock
select suitable logging interval
select logging mode (cyclic or non-cyclic)
for channels IN1 to IN3 to specify conversion constants to the measured voltage values can
be displayed directly in real physical readings and enter the number of decimal places
switch OFF inputs that are not be recorded (e.g. when the sensor is not connected)
switch ON the logger (or switch OFF, if it is about to be switched ON by magnet or
automatically with delayed start)
enable or disable the option to switch ON the logger by magnet
enable or disable the option to switch OFF the logger by magnet
enable or disable the option to reset memory of MIN/MAX values by magnet
set date and time of logger automatic switching ON or disable this option
select if record runs permanently or only if alarm is active
if alarms are about to be applied, set both limits for each measured quantity and enable alarm
optionally enable permanent alarm indication (alarm with memory)
switch ON or switch OFF display logger
optionally switch ON displaying of MIN/MAX values on the LCD
reset memory of MIN/MAX values (if needed)
check free space in data memory, optionally erase data memory of the logger
enter password if protection against unauthorized manipulation with the logger is necessary
The measured values are stored at preset intervals, while the moments of saving are chosen (for
greater clarity) so that took place in integral multiples of time. For the interval of 15 minutes the
values will be stored every 15th, 30th, 45th and the 00th minute and zero second to every hour, at an
interval of 3 clocks to be recorded at 00.00, 03.00, 06.00 hour etc. It follows that after starting the
recording the instrument waits for the nearest integer multiple of time and then store the first value.
This should be taken into account when set the time of the automatic switching ON of the logger.
The external sensor can be connected only when the logger is switched off, otherwise it may
cause incorrect writing to MIN / MAX memory and to memory of the measured values.
