The repeater module Art. 1447 is used to extend networks, making it possible to connect a VIP device at a greater distance than would be possible
using a single section of point-to-point Ethernet and, if necessary, to connect two risers to each other.

The two Ethernet ports are polarised as an IN input port and an OUT output port. In general, the repeater will receive power from the input port and
supply power to the remote device (door-entry phone, switch, repeater) via the output port. This distinction was made to interrupt power supply
propagation between the In port and the Out port by removing Jumpers JP1 and JP2, in order to separate - for example - the power supplies to two
risers. The device even operates correctly if the output port is switched with the input port. In this case, however, it will no longer be possible to interrupt
power supply propagation.
