Side Discharge Chute
(Hardware Pack, Group 2)
The chute deflector provided is a safety device. Do not operate
the mower unless the chute deflector has been properly
installed.
Place the chute deflector in position on the deck, aligning

WARNING:
Use extreme care when handling
gasoline. Gasoline is extremely flammable and the
vapors are explosive. Never fuel the machine
indoors or while the engine is hot or running.
Extinguish cigarettes, cigars, pipes and other
sources of ignition.
Rear Wheels
(Hardware Pack, Group 1)
Using bolts and washers from Group 1 of the hardware

pack, secure the rear wheels to the deck as shown in Fig.
3-6. Install the washer with the cupped side towards the
deck.
IMPORTANT:
Use the same hole location for all four wheels
when assembling. For example, if you desire the lowest
cutting position, assemble each wheel at the highest hole
on the deck. Refer to Cutting Height Adjustment in the
Maintenance and Adjustment section.
