Safety
• Place the sandwich toaster on a dry, flat and durable surface. Make sure that there
is sufficient free space around and above the appliance.
• Remember that the sandwich toaster will become very hot when used. Touch only
the handles, in order to avoid burns.
• Remember that steam may emerge from the sandwich toaster when you open it.
• Use the sandwich toaster only as described in this manual.
• Keep an eye on the sandwich toaster if using it around children.
• Always unplug the sandwich toaster from the wall socket before cleaning and
straight after use.
• Never use the sandwich toaster with a timer or a time switch that may cause
the appliance to start unintentionally.
• Never immerse the sandwich toaster in water to clean it.
• Make sure that the mains cord is kept away from hot surfaces, such as for
example a hotplate.
• Do not handle the sandwich toaster with wet hands.
• Do not subject the sandwich toaster to dampness or blows.
• Check that the voltage of the mains is 230 V and that you are connecting
the sandwich toaster to an earthed wall socket.
• Do not pull or carry the sandwich toaster by the mains cord. Do not use the cord as
a handle or let it get jammed in a door. Do not pull the cord over sharp edges or corners.
• Do not use the sandwich toaster if the mains cord or the plug are damaged, or if you
have dropped the appliance in the floor, left it outdoors, or dropped it into water.
• The sandwich toaster is only to be used and stored indoors.
• Do not open the cover. There are unprotected high-voltage components under
the cover. Contact with those components may cause electric chock.
• The sandwich toaster may only be repaired by a qualified service technician.
• The sandwich toaster must not be altered or disassembled.
