4. Pinch until the two parts separate and drop
a few drops of the included machine oil onto
the both the movable and stationary parts of
the cutting head. Do not over-lubricate!
5. If you have run out of this oil, you may use
sewing machine oil, WD40, 5-56 or similar
lubricants as a substitute.
6. Wipe off any excessive lubricant and refit
the cutting head.
7. Turn on the clipper so that the lubricant is
distributed to all moving parts. Wipe up any
excess lubricant.
Changing the battery
1. Press (5) to remove the battery from the clipper. Hold onto the battery lightly
while doing this as it is spring loaded and may fly out of your hands.
2. Insert the new battery until it clicks securely into place.
Troubleshooting guide
The clipper does
not start.
• Battery is discharged. Charge the battery by connecting
it directly, via the clipper or via the charger station.
• If the clipper is used with the mains lead, make sure
that it is securely plugged in and that the wall socket
is live.
• Battery is flat, change it.
The battery does
not charge.
• Make sure that the mains lead is undamaged and
securely connected to the wall socket, charger station
or battery.
The clipper motor
runs slowly.
• Clean and lubricate the cutting head, refer to
the
Care and maintenance
section above.
Unsatisfactory
cutting results.
• The cutting head blades are blunt, change cutting head.
