Before initial use
Before using the kettle you should boil two kettles of water in it in order to rinse it of
any residue. Never boil the kettle when it contains water mixed with washing-up liquid
or other detergents.
Operating instructions
• Open the lid by pressing in the latch and fill the kettle with water. Do not fill the jug
above the max level mark.
• Close the lid.
• Connect the mains lead to a 220–240 V earthed wall socket.
• Place the kettle on the base and set the power switch to
I . The power indicator
light will come on to indicate that the kettle is switched on.
• Never turn the kettle on when it is empty.
• The kettle turns off automatically and the indicator lamp goes out once the water
has boiled. The switch will then return to the 0 position.
