7 Commissioning
The mains voltage must reach the control panel via a controlled external switch (magneto
thermal, etc).
Once fed, the control panel needs 3 minutes to be operational. During this time it appears in the
display a timer countdown.
After this time, the control panel will display appropriate LEDs and display indications.
8 Maintenance
It is recommended to make following maintenance tasks for the system (both control panel and
sensors) every 6 months:
1) Check that all equipment is operating.
2) Inspect equipments for shock or damage.
3) Check wiring and piping system is correct and no manipulation or damage symptoms are
observed.
4) Clean the equipment properly.
Every 12 months, it is recommended to make additional tasks:
5) Check that the control panel can trigger the ventilation relay (via pushbutton or exposing a
sensor to a suitable concentration of CO).
6) Check that the CO sensors respond to the presence of CO. To do so can be used CO cans
simulators and check that staying a while with the presence of this gas, the sensors perform
double blinking or is fixed (depending on the instantaneous concentration arriving measure).
7) If necessary, check that the control panel can activate the alarm relay (eg during checkout
point 6, it can exposure a sensor with a high concentration of CO gas simulator. Then, when
control panel receives higher measures that the alarm level for a time longer that the delay time,
it will activate alarm relay)
8) Date of manufacture. Check the date of manufacture of the sensor. If exceed their lifetime, it
must be replaced (take into account the considerations described in chapter storage of
equipment).
