Emptying the collector
1. Switch the lawn raker off and disconnect it from the power supply.
2. Lift the deck a little and detach the collector.
3. Empty the collector and clean the discharge chute of any excessive grass and debris.
Use a proper tool for cleaning the chute. Never use your hands or feet.
4. Refit the collector.
Overload protection
The lawn raker is fitted with an overload safety cut-off protection device which switches the motor
off if it is overloaded. The lawn raker might become overloaded if the working height setting is
unsuitable for the terrain or if moss or thatch is preventing the drum from rotating.
If the overload safety cut-off switch is triggered:
1. Disconnect the lawn raker from the power supply and let the motor cool.
2. Remove the debris or alter the working height setting before resuming work.
Care, maintenance and storage
Note:
Always disconnect the lawn raker from the electrical supply and let it cool before carrying
out any service or maintenance.
Care and maintenance
• Clean the exterior of the lawn raker using a damp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Make sure that the ventilation slits on the motor housing are clean and free from contaminants.
• Inspect the lawn raker regularly to make sure that all bolts and nuts are tight and that there is
no visible damage.
• Regular checks should be made to ensure that the lawn raker is always in good running condition.
• Repairs must only be carried out by qualified service technicians and only using genuine
spare parts.
• Always keep the underside of the lawn raker free from grass, moss and debris for optimum
performance.
• Regular checks should be made to make sure that the raker drum is intact.
Storage
• Before storing the lawn raker, switch it off, unplug it and let it cool.
• Clean the lawn raker thoroughly and check for any signs of visible damage.
• Check that all screws, bolts and nuts are securely tightened.
• Store the lawn raker in a dry, sheltered place out of the reach of children.
