PAINTED ARCH
MAINTENANCE
Do not “shrink wrap” or tightly bind the arch surface
with plastic wrappings. If a tarp is used for covering
your boat during storage, the cover system should
be ventilated. Covers and tarps, whether they are
synthetic or natural fiber, should not be pulled tight
to painted surfaces. This condition can trap and
hold moisture on the surface and may result in loss
of gloss, blistering or delamination of the topcoat.
Extreme care should be used to ensure the tarp
does not chafe against the surface. Chafing when
accompanied by airborne dirt can wear the surface
and cause premature loss of gloss.
For additional information on care of the arch, refer
to the Care and Maintenance Sheet of Awlgrip or
Awlcraft supplied in your owner’s packet, or contact
your authorized Cobalt dealer.
