INSTALLATION - SERVICE WIRING
Delta Service Connections
NOTE:
Motiv drivetrain vehicles cannot use a Delta Service
Connection.
This EVSE is configured for use with 3-phase AC power. Either
Delta or Wye service connections can be used in most cases; the
exception is that Motiv drivetrain vehicles will have to use a WYE
supply transformer. Delta-feed service connections to the EVSE
must be made in a specific manner, adhering to the following
requirements:
1. One winding MUST BE CENTER TAPPED. This
center tap must be connected to
EARTH GROUND
at
some point in the system.
2.
LINE 1
and
LINE 2
must be drawn from the phases at
each end of the center-tapped winding. This provides
120VAC to EARTH GROUND for both
LINE 1
and
LINE 2
.
3.
LINE 3
is drawn from the 208VAC “Stinger” phase.
