WINTER mode of operation
The Winter mode is selected by setting the mode selector
on the relative symbol
.
In this mode the resources are managed as follows:
- the summer mode valve is always OFF;
- the winter mode valve is always ON;
- the fans are always enabled according to the Hot Start
function and operate at the speed set with the fan speed
selector.
AUTO mode of operation
The controller automatically selects the mode of operation in
relation to the type of plant selected:
- 2 pipes system: selects the mode of operation in relation
to the water temperature;
- 4 pipes system: selects the mode of operation in relation
to the air temperature.
AUTO fan mode
The controller will define the fan speed as much high as the
difference between the desired room temperature against
the current one.
Hot Start function
This function is available in the heating mode and it only
activates the fan if the water is hot enough. It is not available
if the heating element is installed.
Too Cool function
This function is available in the cooling mode, but only acti-
vates the fan if the water in the coil is cold enough.
Weekly timer operation
iK offers weekly timer function, according with 4 preset pro-
grams and 1 program configurable by end-user. Tempera-
ture set-point could be managed on three levels (T1, T2,
OFF) for 24 hours intervals. Pre-set weekly programs have
different temperature levels according with functioning mode
(heating or cooling).
CONFIGURATION iK CONTROL
Digital input
Digital input configurable is available:
- window contact: contact close, stop cooling/heating func-
tion.
- economy contact: contact close, the set point increases in
cooling mode or reduce in heating mode to obtain energy
saving;
- remote summer/winter: remote changeover heating or
cooling mode.
Reduce screen brightness
iK screen switch off after 5 seconds from last use.
Master/Slave network
iK control could manage Master-Slave network up to 8 LIFE
fan coil units, just with two wires connections and without
other interfaces.
iK control could be set as:
- Master interface: control manages all units connected to
the network. All units work as Master control settings.
- Slave interface: if specific terminal unit connected to the
network had to work at different conditions respect Master,
iK connected to that unit would be configured as Slave
control and unit runs with different settings. iK in order to
work as Slave control has to addressed using dip-switch.
