ASSEMBLING THE RAFTER COMPONENTS
After the site is prepared and an inventory of parts is
complete, continue with the rafter assembly.
NOTE:
Assistance is required to assemble the frame
RAFTER ASSEMBLY
Gather the Parts:
• Rafter pipe drilled (#166P096D)
• Rafter pipe swaged (#166S099)
• Rafter pipe plain (#166P012)
• 3-Way couplers (#102193)
• 4-Way couplers (#102194)
• Tek Screws
END RAFTER ASSEMBLY
Each rafter assembly consists of two (2) couplers and five
(5) rafter pipes: one (1) plain pipe section (#166P096D)
(drilled for ground posts), two (2) swaged pipe sections
(#166S099), and two (2) plain pipe sections (#166P012).
1. Select the pipes and couplers needed to assemble a
rafter and arrange these on a flat surface as shown
below for assembly.
4. Tighten the lock bolts of the 3-Way couplers. If no lock
bolts are included with the couplers, attach each rafter
pipe using a Tek screw.
5. Repeat for the other end rafter.
NOTE:
The open wall side rafter legs will be
assembled separately.
2. Insert the swaged ends of the 166S099 pipes into the
plain ends of the 166P012 pipes. Install a Tek screw
through the rafter pipes to secure each joint.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to the cover and end
panels, position the Tek screws so the heads do not
contact the cover when it is installed.
3. Once the pipes have been assembled, assemble the
rafter by inserting the plain ends of the pipes into the
3-Way couplers.
NOTE:
Verify that the open pipe of the 3-Way couplers
face to the inside of the frame.
All end couplers
face toward the
inside of frame.

INTERIOR RAFTER ASSEMBLY
The interior rafter assemblies are the same as the end
rafters, except
4-Way couplers
are used instead of 3-Way
couplers.
1. Assemble interior rafters now.
2. Continue by assembling the open/front side of the
frame.
ASSEMBLE THE OPEN/FRONT SIDE
The end rafters and every other rafter receive legs. The
length of the building determines the number of legs
required. See diagrams in the Quick Start section for the
designated number.
Gather the parts:
• Pipe (#166P096D)
• Pipe (#166P094)
• Adjustable Tee (#10015407)
• 3-Way couplers (#102193)
• 4-Way couplers (#102194)
• 5/16" x 2-1/2" machine bolts and 5/16" nuts
Using the following drawings and the diagrams found in the
Quick Start Guide, complete the steps to stand the rafter
legs.
1. On the
open/front side,
carefully stand the first rafter
leg and place the drilled end of the leg pipe into the first
ground post. Brace the leg in place to keep it straight.
Additional assistants may be needed. Consult Quick
Start section for details.
