• Remove all items that could be knocked over (e.g. vases, small lamps, dec-
orative items).
• There should be at least 40 cm of distance between two objects (e.g. wall
and shelf) in order for the device to pass through.
• The device could get stuck under pieces of furniture if it does not have the
necessary clearance. Block the path e.g. with
fl
ower pots that are heavy
enough to prevent being knocked off.
Operating the device/manual start
ATTENTION!
• Do not disconnect the charging station from the mains while the device is
operating so that it can return when the rechargeable battery power gets
low.
• If the device is unable to locate the charging station, it will stay still and switch
to standby mode. In this case, it must be placed on the charging station.
1. Make sure that the dust bin (

) is empty, that the device is free of dirt and
debris (see chapter “Cleaning, maintenance and storage”) and that the
rechargeable battery is charged.
2. If the device’s toggle switch is in the
0
position, set it to

3. Push the desired function button on the remote control or the device (see
chapter “Functions”). The robotic vacuum cleaner will then start cleaning in
the selected vacuuming mode.
4. You can use the directional buttons on the remote control to adjust the
device’s direction of travel.
5. Push the button

) to stop the robotic vacuum cleaner.
6. If the rechargeable battery is too low, let the device recharge in the charging
station.
7. If you want to switch off the device (standby mode), push the button
on
the remote control. The device will stop vacuuming, return to the charging
station and start charging the rechargeable battery.
8. If no automatic start (timer) has been activated, use the toggle switch (
13
) to
switch the device off completely (position
0
) and pull the mains plug of the
charging station out of the socket.
9. Empty the dust bin after every use and, if necessary, remove any dirt (see
chapter “Cleaning, maintenance and storage”).

If you would like to use the remote control to con
fi
gure the device,
make sure that you are not in the direct vicinity of an infrared source
(e.g. the charging station) as it could interfere with the remote control.

The remote control only works within a radius of 4 m to the device.
