Cleaning and Storage
CAUTION!

Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
❐
After use, the device may still be very hot. Allow the device to cool down completely be-
fore you empty the water reservoir and/or clean the device and store it away.
❐
Never immerse the device in water or other liquids!
❐
Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning. These could
damage the surface.

If you do not use distilled water to
fi
ll the device, the device may fur up. Descale the device
regularly as described in chapter “Descaling”.
• Empty the water reservoir (see the "Filling/Emptying the Water Reservoir" chapter).
• If necessary, wipe off the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it
with a soft cloth.
• Allow the device to dry completely before you wrap the cable around the base. Do not
wrap the cable too tight around the device in order to prevent damage to the cable.
• Store the device in a dry, clean location which is out of the reach of children. When you
do this, place the device upright on its base on a
fl
at, stable surface.
Troubleshooting
If the device should stop working properly,
fi
rst check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself. Otherwise, contact our customer service department. Do not try to repair
a faulty device yourself!

The device does not work.
• Is the plug inserted in the mains socket correctly?
• Is the temperature control in the
Min
position? Select a
temperature level.
• Is the steam function activated? Press the steam button to
activate the steam function.
• Is the plug socket defective? Try a different socket and
check the fuse of your mains connection.
No steam is produced.
• Is the water reservoir
fi
lled with water?
• Is the temperature control in the
Min
position? Select a
temperature level.
• Have you pressed the steam button?
• The device has not yet reached operating temperature.
Wait until the temperature control lamp goes out.
