• Opening movable body blocks

This fitting is equipped with a system
locking the movement of the movable
body that makes transportation and
maintenance easier. To release the
PAN mechanism use the lever (10),
to release the TILT mechanism use
the lever (11) bearing in mind the
correspondence Red=Locked,
Green=Released.
For fur ther infor mation, read
paragraph 4 MAINTENANCE.

• Fitting eyebolts

With the aid of an 8 mm Allen wrench, unscrew one screw (6) for both of the sides of
the base, and take them out. In their place, insert the two eyebolts (2) placing the flat
washers (7) and notched washers (8) between them and the base.
Fully tighten the two eyebolts and make sure the threads hold properly.

• Removing internal clamps

Before commissioning the fitting it is
necessary to take the four elastics
(9) of the frost and colour filters.
To do this, lift the effects cover following
the relevant instructions in paragraph
4 MAINTENANCE.

• Preparing the warning label

Find the relamping label (12) on the cover of the movable body and, if necessary,
replace it with one of the optional multilingual labels (5) located in the projector lamp
compartment. For the instructions on opening the projector, read paragraph 
4 MAINTENANCE.

CAUTION: Read carefully and meticulously apply the information and
instructions given on this label. In addition, check it is never removed as it
contains important safety information.

• Fitting the lamp
Refer to the instructions for opening the projector and changing the lamp in
paragraph 4 MAINTENANCE.

• Installing the projector

The projector can be installed on the
floor, on a horizontal top, resting on
the shockproof rubber pads (13).
It can moreover be installed on the
ceiling or on a wall with the aid of the
two quick lock/release (omega)
brackets (3) to be secured in the
receptacles (14) on the back-
mounting plate (15). The brackets (3)
can be hooked onto the plate (15)
choosing the most appropriate
position from the different ones
available.
It is possible to screw any kind of
clamp into the middle hole of the
brackets (3).

• Securing the safety ropes

Except for when the projector is standing on the floor, it is compulsory to fit the
safety ropes (1). 
These need to be secured to the projector framework and then
hooked onto the rings (16) on the base of the projector and/or eyebolts (2) screwed
into the holes in the base of the projector.

• Mains power connection

It is advisable to connect each projector via its own switch so as to be able to
switch it on and off individually from a distance.

CAUTION: Check the plate (15) is correctly secured to the base of the fitting.
If the plate has been removed, to carry out non-routine maintenance work,
reposition it, inserting all 10 screws and at the same time checking the threads
hold properly.

• Connecting the control signals RS 232/423 (PMX) - DMX 512

The connection between projector and control unit and between different projectors
must be made with a cable conforming to the EIA RS-485 specifications: bipolar
braided, shielded, 120

characteristic impedance, 22-24 AWG, low capacity.

IMPORTANT: Do not use microphone cable or any other cable whose specifications
are different to the ones stated above.
