4. Accompaniment Control
Your TB5200 is equipped with a range of accompaniment "features" these being Stop/Start,
synchro, introduction, fill in 1, fill in 2, ending. These can be used to enhance the
Auto-play
features.
Start / Stop
1).
.
The [START/STOP] button starts and stops the selected accompaniment style immediately.
Select the FINGERED or SINGLE mode before starting the accompaniment. The rhythm
will sound as soon as the [START/STOP] button is pressed. The bass and chord parts will
begin playing as soon as the first note or chord is played on the Auto Accompaniment (Left)
section of the keyboard.
Accompaniment styles can be changed whilst the accompaniment is playing. The style
number on the MULTI DISPLAY will change as soon as the selection is made - this indicates
the style number that will be active from the beginning of the next measure. The tempo will
not change when the new style begins playing.
. The Beat Indicator
The four division BEAT indicator dots on the Chord and
Tempo Area flash in
from left to right, to indicate the
sequence
tempo and beat number whilst the accompaniment is playing.
flashes on the first beat of each
The left most, bigger dot
measure, then the three little dots flash individually in sequence
on the remaining beats. In 4/4 and 3/4 time, for example, the
beat indicator dots will flash as shown to the right.
Each Musical style type has a preset "normal" tempo which
is automatically selected whenever the style is selected whilst
the accompaniment is stopped. The current tempo is maintained
if you select a different style during accompaniment playback.
You can alter the tempo as required by using TEMPO function.
2). Synchro Start
Press the [SYNCHRO] button if you want the accompaniment
to start as soon as you play
the
first note or chord on the AUTO ACCOMPANIMENT section of the keyboard (Synchro
Start still triggers even if the AUTO ACCOMPANIMENT function is OFF, in which case the
drums will start to play).
If you press the [SYNCHRO] button, the BEAT indicator dots will flash at the current
tempo. This is to warn you that the Automatic Accomp or Drums are on standby, waiting for
the left section of the keyboard to be played on. The synchro start mode can be disengaged
by pressing the [SYNCHRO] button again so that the BEAT indicator dots go out.
