• Always turn the device off before cleaning it and remove
the mains plug. Wait until the device has cooled down.
• Never immerse the device or the base in water or other
liquids.
• Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Rinse the water container out with clean water. Then dry it
off with a cloth.
• Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.
• There is a permanent ilter in the spout. In order to clean the
ilter, pull it out with the lid open. Rinse out the ilter with run-
ning water. Reinsert it, taking note of the guide mechanism.
• The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the
hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is
used.
• If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably
needs to be decalciied.
• Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available
decalciication agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the
quantities stated in the instructions.

After descaling the device boil fresh water in it several times
(approximately 3-4 times) in order to remove any residues. Do
consume this water.

After being used without or with too little water the machine
has not cooled down suficiently.
Remedy:
Allow the machine to cool down for 15 min.

The heated base is coated with too much lime or the circuit
of the plug is overloaded.
Remedy:
Descale the machine as instructed.
Check the mains connection.

Possible Cause:
The lid is not closed or the ilter is not inserted.
Remedy:
Close the lid until it locks in place or re-insert the ilter.
